Christmas Triangles

Lori from Humble Quilts just posted her little darling all quilted and bound.  I really liked it when she posted it before Christmas.  So last evening I ran to the sewing room to whip up my own version.  I figured if I didn't make it now, I might never get around to it.  The triangles were more difficult to get matched up at the intersections than I thought they would be.  But it is pieced and ready for quilting.

House Block Pillow

I saw this House Block pillow in the Fall/Winter 2009 Quilt Sampler.  It is from the Temecula Quilt Company.  It was perched in a chair on their front porch.  I have finally managed to get the blocks pieced and put together.  It needs a borders.  I think I will machine quilt it, as it will get lots of use.  Check them out.  They have lots of Civil War and reproduction quilt inspiration.

First Finish of the Year!

Well, I got up early this morning to finish the pink nine patch doll quilt.
I am happy with the results and glad it is done.

To make it easy to mark the border I cut out a bunch of seeds from freezer paper.
I arranged them on the border and ironed them in place.

I used the CLOVER pen to mark the shapes.

I am going to try to get more of my  projects out of the drawers and completed this year.

Pink Nine Patch

This morning I am quilting on a little pink nine patch
doll quilt that has been neglected for a couple of years.
I would like to finish it before I start more new projects.

I quilted little pumpkin seed shapes in the centers
of the connector blocks.
All that is left now is to quilt the border and add the binding.

Oh, let me show you the finished orange peel top.
It took me a long time to decide on the fabrics for the borders,
but I finally did and am happy with it.

But now back to the nine patch.  I've just got to finish some of my old projects!
